I've had some difficulty with the non-pro version of Multiplicity and City of Heroes. I use the left computer for the primary and the computer on the right side as secondary. During gameplay I will run into this problem. I move the mouse to the right screen and switch computers. Then I move back to the primary and drop both mouse and keyboard control in City or Heroes. If I alt tab out of COH I can see that I still have control of both mouse and keyboard in other programs. If I move back to the secondary I have control over both on the secondary but short of unloading Multiplicity and COH on the primary and restarting both I haven't been able to find a solution. My Thanks, C

Any ideas on something else to try?

Am I just talking to myself, here? Maybe this isn't the right place to look for support... Maybe there's a phone number I should call or something.

This issue has still never been addressed. It's awful. Come on, guys.

Are you still having the problem with 1.19 beta?
on May 12, 2007
I'm not certain how to get Beta releases. I didn't receive any sort of email notification of such a release, nor does your website indicate what version of the software is available.

You need to install SDC (https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/)

Enter your MP registration information & make sure show prereleases is enabled.

Neat, I've never used this before. It's like spyware that tries to sell you stuff, except it's (A) not spying, and ( it's not selling crap. Thanks, I'll try out the latest beta and let you know what I find.

I'm slightly confused. Do I need to install Stardock Central on every computer that's going to use Multiplicity? One of those computers is specifically earmarked to not have any extraneous software on it. How can I install the beta onto it without having to install Stardock Central on it as well?

I gave up and installed Stardock Central on both machines and used it to install the latest Beta of Multiplicity... I was able to play CoH for about an hour before the same problem happened again, unfortunately.

*sigh*

the BETA does NOT fix this. is multi the only program of this type that has this problem with CoH? or have you guys tried alternatives that worked?

Testing here corrected the problem and the new version was uploaded in the beta. Have you tried uninstalling and going to a clean install through Stardock Central?

Im using the 1.20 trial version and as everyone else getting the same problem. Playing 2 COh accounts, primary loses mouse/keyboard ability after a few screen changes between the primary and secondary. The secondary continues to work fine with no issues.

Im using a g15 keyboard and g5 mouse if that helps.

There was mention of a new version in beta, was that refering to 1.20?

Let me know because if I get it to work perfectly with COH I will purchase.

So... I *think* I updated to the current version. In the Multiplicity client itself it says I'm running 1.2, but in Stardock Central is says I'm running 1.2009. So, I have no idea which I'm running. I've asked via a help ticket, and no answer has arrived, but it's only been a couple of days... ?

I DID get an answer to my help initial ticket claiming that Stardock believed this problem (the CoH primary lock-up) was fixed already.

It's not - about every 10 minutes or so I get the primary lock-up, just like everyone else does.

Are we all a bunch of dupes for buying something that's never going to be fixed? Considering the length and time span of these forum posts, history doesn't seem to be promising a fix any time soon.

Stardock folks, can you PLEASE post SOMETHING here we can sink our teeth into regarding a fix timeline??? The problem persists. I'm basically unable to play two instances of CoH at once with Multiplicity.

If you're unable to post real thoughts concerning a fix, can you please give detailed directions for getting a full refund for the product? If it doesn't work as advertised it would seem that's the best alternative.

Based on some posts above, I gave the demo of Maxivista a shot - and was underwhelmed. The mouse movement on the secondary machine is decidedly laggy, and I'm getting delays on menu selections. Additionally my mouse sensitivity is insanely high on the secondary machine... my whole point, Stardock, being that Multiplicity is "best of breed" here. Please, please fix it.

Thanks!

I realize I'm digging up a thread that hasn't been posted in for years.  However - I'm curious to know if this issue was ever addressed.  Anyone happen to know?

Just purchased the program and it still has this bug.  I'm using it with Champions Online, when it happens though, it crashes the game.  Disappointing to say the least.  I was hoping to get a useful tool, without buying a KVM.  Also, Regkey suggestion did not work.  This is with version 1.24.
